Ship always run forward to follow the course. Just go up to the poop deck while ship is running and look the back side sea. There is a beautiful wake and slipstream following the course passed. Few moments later, you can see that beautiful wake you saw is gone to back to calm sea as it was. And you can see another new trails just attached to propeller always.
Our past gone as like the trail of ship. We should not meddle the past and disturb precious today and fear the tomorrow.
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)
Previously when we did not accept Christ Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior, our life was same as unbeliever of Jesus and in darkness. Everything came to us as such many problems and troublesome, then we tried to find the way by worldly way and depending on some powerful man not God. We all experienced they were not the solutions. However God so loved this world and us. He send His one and only Son to save us. Whoever believe and accept him, never perish and have eternal life. We are the one chosen by God and we take this privilege truly by His grace.
We should change after such grace come to us. Forget the past and expect the greatest things in front of us. So do not fear anything except our Almighty God!
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light: (1 Peter 2:9)
We are different with past ourselves and other unbelievers. As the officer of ship, we should exercise the excellence of him to other crew and people around. When God give you the position, it gave you the chance. Let's change our thought, lifestyle, goal and others. Do not stay in the comfort zone or hide away from challenges. Your small changes could bring you many opportunities in various areas.
Love your crew then they could see God through your live and care. That is the most powerful message to your neighbors. Let's change today!
