Come to me , all who labor and heavy laden, and I will give you rest, take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30)But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you. Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:26-27
Its at this moment we will understand the value of coming and learning in Jesus so that in due time that the situation requires the Holy Spirit will remind us of what we have learned in according to that situation so that we may experience that kind of peace that only He could give.
What is Anxiety?
Anxiety is a feeling of fear or apprehension of what's to come. It is the overthinking of what is to come.I. What must we do to keep our peace of mind?
As anxiety is robbing us of the time spent talking to God. God already told us to surrender it to Him as it is said in 1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxieties on Him because He cares for you.” Every burdens, and struggles we are experiencing right now and we will see and understand how God incredibly work in our lives. We must remember to take refuge in God’s presence as we surrender all our worries to Him.II. What does anxiety do to us?
In Proverbs 12:25 “ Anxiety in a Man’s heart weighs him down, but a good word makes him glad.” but where can we find the “Good Word”? It is all written in the Bible. It is to give us hope, strengthen our faith and the steadfast love that God have for us. We always worry on things that this world has. But do we think on “how about our personal relationship with God?” do we not think about it ?“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?
Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?
Matthew 6:25-26 in this verse we are told not to worry about the worldly comfort that we can have. It tells us about the things we should not be worried about and why we do not have to worry about these things and what are the things we should be worried about
III. How do we resist the urge to worry?
In 1 Peter 5:8-9 it is written that “ Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in you faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world.”When we worry, we are easily penetrated by the devil as this burdens consumed us little by little.
Jesus Christ died on the cross so that we might have the very faith that we need in order to battle the daily worries of life.
IV. Conclusion:
Only by being firm in our faith, always relying on God that we can overcome those worries. We must remember that all of us are struggling and have those burdens to be worried about but only through Christ Jesus that we can live a life without fear of anything.
