Read: Colossians 1:23 NLT
"But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it." Colossians 1:23 NLTYou must continue.
A few weeks ago there was a news that a crew change is being arrange in Korea by August. But just recently Philippines again put some of their cities on lockdown which made it impossible for crew change and so everyone was so disheartened. Everyone was already exhausted physically and mentally. Even me.I've had lots of complain about it but then I stumbled upon a twitter trend where it says there that our medical frontliners have requested a break from the government because they too are exhausted. Many of them have been infected of the virus as well. Having MECQ would be actually good for them so they could take a short time to breathe and rest.
Then I thought if these medical frontliners suddenly decided to quit their jobs just simply because they're tired, what would happen to our country? They can't afford to quit because they know that lives are at stake.
In the same way, what would be at stake if you were to quit now in your faith? Yes you're tired. Yes you've been suffering a lot. But what would be at stake? It may be easier to give up but there's a lot at stake when we give up.
What would happen to your family if you were to quit on God now? What would happen to the people God could have reached out through your life and through your influence if you were to quit on Him now?
"But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News."
Conclusion:
Following that line of thought I realized. If Jesus, while walking up the hill of calvary with the weight of the cross and our sins on His shoulders suddenly dropped the cross and said, "I'm tired. I give up." If Jesus gave up halfway to calvary, where would you and I be right now?• If God did not give up on you, then why should you give up on yourself?
• If God did not give upon you then why should you give up on Him.
Continue in Him. Continue walking in faith knowing that there's so much joy and satisfaction in Christ even more so when we have endured.
