This is a reminder for all of us, that we should put our trust and hope in Christ alone not during this time of pandemic because we need His mercy and grace every day and not just in any particular circumstances.

In this pandemic, we are really bombarded with so many things. We are all fed up with this uncomfortable life that we are experiencing. We have trust issues in every people and government because everyone is so vile in their own ways. What are the things that hinder us to hold on to our faith and hope? Is there really hope for everyone?

At some point, I realized that we are just being deceived by the world. Here are the three points why:

LOST

In our society nowadays, we can see what is really happening. Some people tried everything that they can do and wandered everywhere to seek for an escape but ended up getting lost. We got lost, not even sure if we are still on the right track. We look for directions in some other way and rely on our own capabilities.

But God clearly says in His Word.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." (Proverbs 3:5-6)

We easily get tired because of depending on our own strength when we face trials, but God is reminding us to put our trust in Him.

LIES

Nowadays, we are always fed up with negativity especially in social media. We can see how life moves in our nation and the world. The world gives us lies and we don’t know anymore what is true and what is not because of the social injustice that is happening right now. Now we are tired of believing in someone who has their own agenda. Satan is using many kinds of confusion to take away our hope in God. He will take advantage of this situation to fill our minds with lies and anxieties.

"Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5: 6-7)

Therefore, let us always humble ourselves to God and ask for wisdom.

DEATH

Every day as we face each new morning, we are still bombarded with negativity in this toxic world. We may not be physically dead but we can end up dead mentally, emotionally, and worst, spiritually. In short, we are hopeless.

It might seem so hopeless that it makes us ask ourselves, "Is there any solution for this?"

It's amazing how it all points out to the main HERO and solution of everything, JESUS CHRIST.

As I make this short message I realized that all our basic necessities are just for our own physical needs, but there is more than that for all we need is true Hope. It is the kind of hope that can be found in Jesus Christ alone.

"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" (John 14:6)

Jesus didn’t tell us any other path because He is the WAY.

Jesus didn’t teach us any other truth for He is the TRUTH.

Jesus didn’t reveal to us any other secrets of life as He is the LIFE.

The true virus is not just a corona virus or any particular illness. The lethal virus is when we are separated from God’s love and His Kingdom. That’s why God is more concerned with our eternal life than us having a pleasurable life in this world because earth is just temporary.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

This is a reminder for all of us, that we should put our trust and hope in Christ alone not during this time of pandemic because we need His mercy and grace every day and not just in any particular circumstances.

Before we end I just want to leave you this verse:

"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." (John 16:33 )
